Product Description

After harvesting, fruit for the Liberty School Chardonnay is whole-cluster pressed. 80% of the 2010 Chardonnay is barrel fermented in both American and French oak barrels - 10% of which are new. The other 20% of the wine is aged in stainless steel. This balance preserves the bright, crisp fruit qualities of this wine. Small amounts of Marsanne and Viognier enhance the body and aromatics of the wine. Primary blending takes place after six months after harvest and the wine then rests in tank for three months prior to bottling.
