2010 started off with a warmer, drier spring that was followed by a summer with cooler than average temperatures. In September it heated up allowing the fruit to ripen beautifully. Overall in Russian River Valley, it was truly cool creating wines with intense flavors and great acidity. The grapes were crushed and cold soaked before fermentation. The juice was then pressed and put in stainless steel tanks and when fermentation was complete the wine was put on medium-plus toast American and French oak for 8 months for a round, balanced finish.
